A native New Yorker, writer J.M. DeMatteis has been one of comics most respected writers for nearly three decades. Ranging from the introspective psychological drama of Moonshadow to the offbeat comedy of Justice League to the autobiographical Brooklyn Dreams, hes written from nearly every perspective in graphic storytelling. His long list of credits includes Captain America, Defenders, Justice League International, the groundbreaking Spider-Man storyline Kravens Last Hunt,” Spectre and more. His recent work includes the acclaimed children’s novel Imaginalis and the popular comics-prose hybrid Abadazad books.Writer J. Michael Straczynski made pop-culture history with the epic TV series Babylon 5. In 1999, Straczynski penned Top Cows Rising Stars, leading to an offer from Marvel to write Amazing Spider-Man, a title he revolutionized. JMS went on to write Supreme Power, Fantastic Four, Bullet Points, The Twelve and a fan-favorite revival of Thor. The latter helped inspire Marvels Thor feature film, on which he shares a writing credit. JMS screenplay for Changeling was directed by Clint Eastwood and starred Angelina Jolie, while his other movie credits include Underworld: Awakening and World War Z. For DC Comics, he has written iconic characters Superman and Wonder Woman.Elena Casagrande, a graduate of the International School of Comics in Rome, began her career as artist David Messinas assistant, kicking off a long relationship with IDW Publishing that has seen her work on such series as Star Trek, The Ghost Whisperer, Angel, Infestation and True Blood.
